Our vision is to create Asgers Have - a roof farm, restaurant, and green urban space on top of the parking garage that will soon be built next to REMA 1000 and Himmelbyen.
A roof farm on this parking garage would help create more local life and build a stronger sense of community. It would also give residents a first-hand look into the operation of an organic farm, and help promote Ørestad Syd as a sustainable, innovative, and green neighbourhood. Just as the ØsterGro roof farm does for Østerbro.
The location for the roof farm, on the local main street, Asger Jorns Allé, between Vestamager metro station and the planned community centre 'Byens Hus', has great potential.
Establishing Asgers Have will help support the vision of Asger Jorns Allé as:
a green main street where people want to gather and spend time
a lively main street with space for local businesses
Asgers Have will help transform the neighbourhood for the better, in conjunction with the expected new "lokalplanstillæg" that Copenhagen Municipality will now prepare to tighten regulations for the remaining empty building sites in Ørestad Syd.
